A description such as “1/4-inch expanded metal” can identify a nominal pattern designation. It does not provide a complete purchasing specification or establish the exact clear opening.

Expanded Metal Sheet Sizes and 4×8 Sheets

Sheet size describes the overall panel. It is separate from mesh size.
